“Plate shooting,” or “background plate shooting,” involves filming real-world environments, such as roads or landscapes, using a VR360° camera equipped with two back-to-back lenses strategically positioned ( for instance, on the roof of a vehicle). These videos, known as “plates,” are later used as backdrops in productions featuring LED walls in studio settings. This technique is a key component of virtual production, enabling the recreation of realistic scenes while maintaining the convenience of indoor shooting with no copromise with stiching classical cameras angles.  It provides natural immersion by delivering consistent reflections and lighting. In post-production, the image can be blurred to simulate a specific depth of field, enhancing the realism of the final scene.
